Motorola has finally put a date on its next flagship. The company confirmed on its official X account that the Motorola Signature 27 will be unveiled on 5 November 2026, closing a stretch of speculation that began when the phone first appeared at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit on 22 September. 91mobiles reports that India is part of the same launch window, which would make the Signature 27 the first handset in the country running the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
Motorola has not shared Indian pricing, sale dates or variant details yet. What the company has done is confirm the timeline, and the hardware it showed in September lines up with one of the most unusual camera setups we have seen on a Motorola phone.
Motorola's X post puts the date on record
The confirmation came from Motorola's global account, which teased the phone's finish and invited followers to see it for themselves on 5 November. The full teaser is still live on X. Beyond the date, the post gives away little, and Motorola is clearly saving the pricing and availability details for the event itself.
That leaves the September Snapdragon Summit appearance as the main source of confirmed specifications. At that event Motorola positioned the Signature 27 as its fastest Android phone to date, built around Qualcomm's new 2nm flagship chip and a camera system headlined by a periscope telephoto lens. The November 5 event is expected to be the commercial launch, where Indian buyers finally learn what the phone costs and when it goes on sale.
A 200MP periscope anchors the camera system
The Signature 27 carries three rear cameras, and the standout is a 200MP periscope telephoto unit with phase-detection autofocus, optical image stabilisation and 5x optical zoom. That is an unusually high resolution for a periscope lens, and it suggests Motorola is leaning on sensor cropping to offer useful zoom ranges beyond the native 5x.
The main camera is a 50MP sensor with a 1/1.28-inch size, 1.22µm pixels, PDAF and OIS, while the third lens is a 50MP ultrawide with a 122-degree field of view and a 12mm equivalent focal length. On the front, Motorola has fitted a 50MP selfie camera with dual-pixel PDAF. Video recording tops out at 8K at 30fps with Dolby Vision, alongside 4K at up to 120fps and 10-bit HDR10+ capture.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and a 7,000mAh battery
Under the hood is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, an octa-core chip built on a 2nm process with two prime cores running at 5.01GHz, three performance cores at 4.03GHz and three efficiency cores at 3.74GHz. Graphics come from an Adreno 850 GPU. Motorola is offering the phone with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage, all UFS 4.1, with no microSD expansion.
Battery capacity is listed at 7,000mAh using silicon-carbon chemistry, which is a large cell even by 2026 flagship standards. Charging is rated at 90W wired and 50W wireless, with 10W reverse wireless and 5W reverse wired support for accessories. Motorola has not quoted battery life figures yet, but the combination of a 2nm chip and a 7,000mAh cell should make endurance one of the phone's stronger selling points.
Display, build and audio
The front is a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED panel running at 1264 x 2780 pixels, which works out to roughly 449 pixels per inch. It supports a 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The body uses glass and aluminium, and Motorola has rated the phone IP68 and IP69 against dust and water, along with MIL-STD-810H durability testing.
Audio is handled by stereo speakers tuned with Bang & Olufsen and Dolby Atmos, with support for 24-bit/192kHz hi-res audio and hi-res wireless. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 with tri-band support, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, ultra-wideband and a USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port with DisplayPort 1.4 output. An ultrasonic fingerprint reader sits under the display.
Software is Android 17, and Motorola is committing to seven OS upgrades for the device. The Signature 27 will be sold in two Pantone colours: Coal Smoke and Capulet Olive.
Price and availability
Indian pricing remains the biggest unknown. Motorola has not announced a figure, and leaks have pointed in very different directions, ranging from well under ₹1 lakh to above ₹1.2 lakh. European reports have quoted a figure of around €1,594, which would translate to a premium flagship price if it holds. Treat all of these numbers as unconfirmed until the 5 November event.
For Bangladesh, there is no launch date or price from Motorola yet. gsmSpaces will update this page with local pricing and availability once the company makes an announcement. Buyers coming from the original Motorola Signature should expect a significant jump in camera hardware, battery capacity and chipset performance, and you can browse the rest of the lineup on the Motorola brand page.

What to watch on 5 November
The launch event should settle the three questions buyers care about most: the Indian price across variants, the on-sale date, and whether Motorola brings the top 16GB/1TB model to the country. If the Signature 27 does arrive in India on the same day as the global launch, it will also take the title of the country's first Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 phone, at least until rivals catch up.
