Motorola's next book-style foldable has appeared in a UAE regulatory database, giving us a fresh signal that the company is close to adding another device to its Razr lineup. A handset listed under the model number XT2761-1 was certified by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) in late October 2026, and the listing is being linked to the marketing name Motorola Razr Flex 27.

Regulatory filings usually say nothing about hardware, but they are a dependable sign that a phone is moving through the last stages before launch. Taken together with the specification leaks that have surfaced alongside it, the Razr Flex 27 is shaping up as a wider and more expensive take on the clamshell formula rather than a straight successor to the Razr 60 Ultra.

TDRA approval puts the Razr Flex 27 on the record

The TDRA entry carries the certificate number ER67054/26 and confirms that the XT2761-1 has been cleared for sale in the United Arab Emirates. It does not list a release date, a price or any of the phone's components. What it does do is tie the model number to the Razr Flex name that has been circulating in leaks since the middle of the year.

UAE certification typically happens a few weeks to a couple of months before a device reaches shelves, which is why the listing has been read as a hint that a launch window is open. Motorola has not acknowledged the filing, and there is no official word on which markets will get the phone first.

Dual OLED screens and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

The specification picture comes from the same leak cycle. The Razr Flex 27 is said to use a 6.92-inch OLED inner display with a resolution of 1728 x 2364 pixels, paired with a 4.97-inch cover screen at 1736 x 1140 pixels. Both panels are reported to run at up to 165Hz, which would make the cover display one of the largest and fastest on any flip phone.

Powering it is reported to be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with Android 17 and Motorola's Hello UI on top. That combination would put the Razr Flex in flagship territory, well above the mid-range chips used by some cheaper foldables.

Cameras, battery and charging

On the camera side, the leaks describe a 50MP main sensor paired with a 50MP ultrawide on the back, plus a 32MP front camera for the inner display. The battery is listed at 5000mAh with support for 25W wireless charging; wired charging details have not been shared.

Those figures are in line with what Motorola has been doing on recent Razr models, where a large cover display and a 4,000mAh-plus battery have become standard. A jump to 5,000mAh would be one of the more meaningful upgrades for anyone who uses the outer screen heavily.

Design, colours and durability

The phone is reported to weigh 215 grams and measure 12.6mm folded and 5.8mm unfolded. Connectivity is said to include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and eSIM, while the security setup relies on a side-mounted fingerprint reader and a dedicated AI key.

Durability is listed as IP49, which covers dust protection and resistance to splashing water but stops short of the full immersion rating some rivals advertise. The colour options are reported as PANTONE Coriander and PANTONE Dark Botanical Garden, both of which fit Motorola's recent habit of using Pantone-branded finishes.

Price and launch expectations

Leaked retail material points to a European price of around EUR 1,510.90 and a launch in mid-December 2026. Neither figure has been confirmed by Motorola, and regional pricing will almost certainly differ. If the timeline holds, the Razr Flex 27 would arrive just in time for the holiday shopping season in several markets.
