OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro Land in China With Built-In Cooling Fans and 185Hz LTPO Displays

OnePlus has launched the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro in China as gaming-first flagships with built-in cooling fans, 185Hz LTPO screens, 9,000 mAh batteries and 100W charging — starting at CNY 4,399.

OnePlus has taken the wraps off the Ace 7 series in China, and the company is being unusually direct about who these phones are for. Two models arrived together — the Ace 7 Pro and the standard Ace 7 — and both carry something you rarely see outside dedicated gaming hardware: an actual cooling fan inside the body. There is also talk in the Chinese press that the vanilla model could be rebadged as the OnePlus 16R for markets outside China, though OnePlus has not confirmed anything on that front.

An LTPO screen that goes past 165Hz

Both phones use the same 6.78-inch LTPO panel with granular refresh control between 1Hz and 165Hz. In supported games the screen can push all the way to 185Hz; everywhere else — the launcher, messaging, video apps — it settles back at 165Hz. LTPO matters here because a gaming phone spends a lot of time showing static content, and dropping to 1Hz costs far less battery than locking the panel at a high rate.

The 6.78-inch LTPO panel scales from 1Hz to 165Hz, with 185Hz reserved for supported games.

The fan lives in the camera island

The cooling system is the genuinely interesting bit. Rather than putting vents on the side frame the way RedMagic and similar phones do, OnePlus routed the intake and exhaust openings through the protruding camera island. The Pro's setup uses a dual-airflow design with two intakes and two grilles to push hot air out, which the company says helps during long sessions. The engineering trade-off is visible in the camera array: to make room for the fan, the Pro drops the ultrawide lens entirely. What remains is a 200MP main camera at f/1.8, a 50MP periscope-style telephoto with f/2.8 and 3.5x optical zoom, and a 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera.

Full-fat chipset, 9,000 mAh battery

The Ace 7 Pro runs the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage from 256GB up to 1TB. Power comes from a 9,000 mAh cell that accepts 100W charging over Oppo's SuperVOOC standard. The front is protected by Crystal Shield Glass, the frame is metal and the back is glass-fiber reinforced plastic. Despite the vents, OnePlus claims four ingress ratings — IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K — which is more than most conventional flagships manage. The Pro ships in Black, White and Blue.

Where the standard Ace 7 differs

The cheaper model is the same phone with three deliberate cuts. Its chipset is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series, which keeps the same CPU cores but splits the GPU into two slices with less dedicated memory, so graphics performance sits a step lower. The telephoto camera is replaced by an 8MP ultrawide, and the fan loses its bi-directional airflow. Black and White carry over, joined by a gradient finish.

What it means for buyers in Bangladesh

These are China-first launches, so the prices above are local Chinese retail figures converted for reference — OnePlus has not announced official Bangladesh pricing for either model. Imported units are already being listed locally, and our specification pages track the unofficial market: the Ace 7 is listed around BDT 80,000 and the Ace 7 Pro around BDT 90,000, both for the 12GB/256GB variant. Buyers should expect no local warranty on grey-market units and should confirm band support before importing, since Chinese firmware sometimes ships without the full set of international 5G bands.

The bigger question is whether an internal fan is worth losing the ultrawide camera. For someone who plays long sessions of demanding titles, the answer is probably yes; for everyone else, the rest of the OnePlus lineup offers the same chipset without the moving parts.
